A cool breeze whistles

through the trees and thistle,

whispering of winter’s approach.

As its sweet, crisp melody hums

through the branches,

It intertwines with morning’s birdsong.

The last rays of summer gleam,

refracted in the apple of my eye

The conductor of the wind beckons

For the foliage to join its symphony.

Instead, the hues of fall glimmer

The entropy of seasons,

Causes the green to slowly wither—

a dissonance in the air,

Rather than simply falling,

The leaves begin to dance..

The music of the earth resonates,

brought to the ears of the woodlands and its creatures,

Enchanting them, as the sun’s amber light

illuminates the scene, so serene.

As each leaf drifts down,

Like the notes of a lullaby

Rustling through the air,

The melody shakes the branches, thorns, and vines.

Whispers of gold swirl in harmony,

through seemingly stagnant air.

Each note a soft farewell to summer’s warmth,

as nature composes her final serenade before slumber.
